The transport company was founded by Adrianus van Assouw in 1895 in the center of Oirschot. Until the late 1980s, Van Assouw Furniture Transport operated at this location. Since 1991, we have been located at the current site, Industrial Estate de Stad in Oirschot.

In the early years, transportation was done with horse and carriage. At that time, transport assignments were carried out exclusively in North Brabant. Many different companies in the local business community in the Oirschot region relied on our transport services. Mainly groceries and beverages were transported.

In 1931, the first truck was purchased, a Chevrolet. Many more followed later. The first trucks can be seen in the left and middle images. These photos were taken in the 1930s, and in both photos, Mr. Noud van Assouw (2nd generation) is visible. In the right image, furniture is being delivered to Vroom & Dreesman (V&D) in The Hague. The driver is Janus van Assouw (3rd generation).
